The Doucette 45 is a soft-chined semi-displacement hull with a deep full keel which leads to a fine entry in the forward section allowing it to slice through rough seas almost effortlessly. Its full flared bow easily rolls any seas or spray away from the hull making it a very dry boat. This hull design is capable of reaching 25 knots plus with a single engine bedded deep in its keel. This boat will do well in any condition in which you may find yourself; it is at home in the sheltered waters or in the open ocean. Its rugged commercial underwater gear will give you trouble free cruising for many years to come.
